With the rise of the popularity of airbnb, I have found many more historic houses that offer accommodation. Many people are familiar with the “blue book” of accommodation, or Landmark Trust properties, or “Hidden Houses of Ireland” that lists historic houses that have accommodation. There are many wonderful historic properties in which one can stay. I refer to these pages myself when booking accommodation when Stephen and I travel the country visiting Section 482 properties. I maintain pages on this website which list the big houses available to visit in each county, as well as big houses in which one can stay. Subscribe for updates to find out when you need to book to make a visit. See their website for details, as booking will be required, but booking is not open yet. On September 9th 2023 all Landmark Trust properties in Northern Ireland will be open to visitors, from 10am-4pm.
